October 14th- Have you ever worried about what others think of you? How did it affect your actions or decisions? Share a personal experience and use hypophora at least once in your response.

Have you ever felt as if other people are judging you? Have you ever been concerned about what other people think about you? Well for me the answer's to these questions are yes. For example last year in marching band I wasn't the best and I was afraid of other people judging me and thinking I didn't deserve to be in the marching band so when I played I wouldn't play out and keep my dynamics low so that I'm still playing but If I were to make a mistake you wouldn't really be able to hear it.

October 12th-Think about a time when you exaggerated something to make a point, tell a story, or get someone's attention. What happened? What did you say? Why did you exaggerate? Looking back, do you think your exaggeration made your message more effective? Explain.

One time I exaggerated something to make a point was when I was talking to my dad about my classes. My dad didn't really take much hard classes when he was a kid and he's been surprised to see me doing homework all the time. So he asked me how hard my classes are and I told them "I'm taking some of the hardest classes in the school!" I exaggerated to make the point that the classes are hard, they aren't actually the hardest. I think my exaggeration was effective because my dad now understands how hard my classes are.

October 13th- Consider the following statement: "We spend more time connecting online but less time connecting in person." Do you agree or disagree with this antithesis? Explain your perspective using personal experiences. Discuss how technology has influenced the way people communicate and build relationships. In your response, include at least one original example of antithesis.

I agree with the antithesis that we spend more time connecting online but less time connecting in person. In my personal experience it seems that when you hang out you feel pressured to post it on your story or show other people rather than just living in the moment. It's almost like you're hanging out with someone for the sole purpose to post it on your story and show others that you're social or "normal". I think this has influenced the way people communicate and build relationships because you don't feel like you can hang out with someone unless you're going out to do something, This doesn't really make sense because while going out with someone else is nice, just being around them and keeping them company means a lot more.
