August 28th- With 4.5-week grades posting on September 2, reflect on your experience in AP Language so far. What has been going well for you, what has been challenging, and what is one thing you need to improve moving forward?

 Looking back on my experiences with AP Lang it was definitely interesting. I started with Ms. Anderson and was in that class for about 2 weeks untill I got moved into your class. It was kinda interesting as I didn't really get what was happening at first but it quickly picked up what you were putting down and teaching us. I think I ultimately prefer your class. Instead of a bunch of undecipherable work you make us learn real world examples of what to do. Plus, Ms. Silver (My Favorite Teacher) says that I probably wouldn't like Ms. Anderson because she runs her class super strict and she couldn't imagine me in that environment when it came to debates and the like. So, Ultimately I think its for the best that I got placed into your class, Overall, my first 4.5 weeks of school have been hectic but manageable.

What are three goals that you want to achieve this academic year?

For this academic year my three goals that I hope to achieve are to finish my marching band season strong, be able to do well on all three of my AP tests, specifically AP Bio which I hope to get a five on. Lastly, I hope to do well on my SAT or ACT. These three goals are reasonable and achievable. so far I've done a bit of studying for my SAT. But, I still have a lot of room to grow. Additionally, I've kept up in all of my classes. To tell the truth this marching band season has been night and day to my performance last year. Sept 30th- After reviewing the feedback on your argument essay, identify one thing you did well and one area you need to improve. Explain what you will do differently the next time you write an AP Lang argument essay.

One thing I did well on my argumentative essay after seeing my feedback would be my use of relevant evidence throughout my essay, such as the example of my dad and his selfies. Overall, I think my evidence is strong but I could get better at my reasoning and explaining how my evidence connects back to the claim. As with stronger reasoning I'm sure I could get the full 4/4 points on my evidence and potentially the point for sophistication which would create a big difference in my score. So, overall, I think the best idea would be to focus on earning that extra point in my evidence by connecting it back to the claim and using effective reasoning.

August 18th - What is the most creative thing you have ever made? Share what it was and explain why it stands out as your best work.

 The most creative thing that I've made is probably one of my cosplay projects this summer. I made a mask for a character I'm cosplaying through my friends 3-D printer. And I painted the white and red on the mask. Next I had to add the straps to keep it on my face with hot glue. Overall it wasn't hard but the whole cosplay took a lot for work to put together and it stands out to me for that reason.
